Our computer and laptop support packages are designed first and foremost for home users — individuals, families, and anyone working from home who just wants an extra geek on call.
That said, they’re also ideal for entrepreneurs and small business owners with simple needs. If you’ve got a handful of people on your team, each with their own laptop, or a group of remote workers spread around, these packages are a great fit. Since Covid, loads of businesses have shifted away from big in-house systems and just want affordable support that keeps their team’s devices running smoothly — without the price tag of a big IT company.
If you do need the heavy-duty stuff (servers, complex networks, the whole works), our sister company Acrylic IT has you covered. Simon owns both companies (he’s a boss like that).

Honestly? There isn’t one. Every plan covers both PCs and laptops, so whether you call it a computer support package or a laptop support package, it’s the same deal: unlimited support, maintenance, fixes, and advice for the devices you rely on. We offer computer maintenance, laptop maintenance, PC maintenance…the terms are mostly synonymous, it’s just a slight variation on the type of computer you have and which word you choose to describe it. The same applies to operating systems – it doesn’t make a difference if you’re on Windows or Mac, the support packages are the same regardless of the OS you’re using.

Technically? Everywhere. 🌍
We’re based in Northwich, Cheshire, but our remote package means we can (and do) support clients all over the world — from Europe to Dubai to the US, even digital nomads who seem to be in a different café every time we speak to them (best stories, by the way).
A couple of things to keep in mind though:
Physical fixes → If your computer needs a hands-on repair, upgrade, or data recovery, you’ll need to get the device to us. That might mean a drive or postage cost, which isn’t always practical if you’re far away. In those cases, you’re probably better sticking with a Remote-Only package, or finding someone local for the hardware side.
Time zones → We work UK hours. If you’re elsewhere in the world, no problem — we already do this regularly — but just remember we’re not answering the phone at 3am our time. We’ll always find a slot that works for both of us.
So yes, we cover your area — wherever that happens to be. Remote support means we can help anyone, anywhere. But we only offer free pick up and collection services to those within 10 miles of Northwich. And we only do that for customers on our computer and laptop support packages (the normies only get 5 miles from Northwich or Winsford, and 2 miles from Knutsford). If you’re outside that catchment area, you’re more than welcome to come to us, or we can come to you (within reason) provided you cover travel expenses.

  • Solo / Solo+ → 1 device (your laptop, iMac, whatever).
  • Dynasty → 3 devices (perfect for you + the kids’ laptops).
  • Dynasty+ → 4 devices (add in the OH, it’s safer!).
  • Bolt-ons → Add extra devices to any plan if you need more (ideal for bigger families, gadget hoarders, and small businesses).

Cover is device-specific (like car or pet insurance), so you’ll need to tell us which gadgets are on your plan. They don’t all have to be yours — you can cover your partner’s, your kids’, or whoever you like.

Nope. Zero hidden costs, zero nasty surprises.

Your package covers all labour — so if your laptop screen smashes, you won’t pay a penny for the time it takes us to fit a new one. You will need to cover the cost of the screen itself (hardware isn’t included, because prices vary depending on the part and the device).

If you’re on Solo, Solo+, Dynasty, or Dynasty+, you’ll also get a discount on any new hardware you buy through us — 5% on standard plans, 10% on plus plans. Remote-Only doesn’t include hardware discounts.

And whatever plan you’re on, we’ll always talk costs through with you first, so you’re the one who decides whether to go ahead.

Will I Need To Install Anything On My Device?2025-12-22T16:45:00+00:00

Yep — we’ll ask you to install our remote support software. It lets us monitor your machine, run updates (like antivirus and security patches), and jump on to fix issues without you having to bring it in.
It’s a lifesaver if something goes wrong mid-workday: we can remote in, sort the problem, and you don’t even have to admit to your boss (or your kids) that anything broke.

Our office hours are 9 am – 5 pm Monday to Friday.

Outside those times, you can still drop us a message by live chat, email, or messenger. If someone’s around, you’ll often get a reply — but it’s not guaranteed (we’re good, just not 24/7 robots). Either way, we’ll get back to you as soon as we can.
